THAILAND REOPENING FROM 1st NOVEMBER, 2021.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed a quarantine-free reopening of Thailand to fully vaccinated foreign visitors including returning Thais and foreign residents, from the approved list of low-risk countries/territories entering the Kingdom via air travel from 1st November.
First tourists arrive in Phuket under Sandbox scheme A total of 347 due to arrive on Thursday
PHUKET: Twenty-three tourists arrived at Phuket airport on Thursday morning as the island reopened to vaccinated foreign tourists under the quarantine-free scheme. Tourism makes up almost a fifth of the Thai economy, and the Covid-19 pandemic has led to its worst performance since the 1997 Asian financial crisis.
Samui, Krabi, Phang Nga and Chiang Mai to follow after Phuket Sandbox reopening
The paradise island of Phuket welcomes the first tourists under the Sandbox programme, especially the vaccinated travellers who do not need to quarantine. Phuket’s longstanding popularity among travellers around the world makes it the ideal destination to restart Thailand’s tourism industry. After Phuket, other places like Samui, Krabi, Phang Nga and Chiang Mai are planned to soon follow.
