Descriptions : Grand Palace built in 1782, the palace was commissioned by then King Rama I, who founded Thailand's Chakri Dynasty. During the centuries since it was first built, the palace grounds have been well maintained, with particular care being taken to preserve and restore the palace's extensive murals.

Descriptions : Wat Phra Kaew (known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha or locally as Wat Phra Sri Ratttana Satsadaram) is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Thailand. The temple enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (Emerald Buddha), the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jage.

Descriptions : Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is right behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It's famed for its giant reclining Buddha that is 15 metres tall, 46 metres long and covered in gold leaf.

Descriptions :  Wat Arun was envisioned by King Taksin in 1768. It's believed that after flighting his way out of Ayutthya, which was taken over by a Burmese army at the time, he arrived at this temple just as sawn was breaking. He later hasd the temple renovated and renamed it Wat Chaeng, the Temple of the Dawn. It used to be the home of the Emerald Buddha before the capital and Palace was moved to the other side of the river. This can now be seen at the Grand Palace. The central prang was extended during the reign of Rama III (between 1824 and 1851). It was also Rama III who added the decoration of the spires with porcelain so that they glimmer in the sunshine.

Descriptions : Wat Benchamabophit knownas the marble temple. Construction of the temple began in 1899 at the request of Chulalongkorn after building his palace nearby. The emple;s name lirerally means "the Temple of the fifth King located near Dusit Palace. It was designed by Prince Naris, a half-brother of the king, and is built of Italian marble.

Descriptions :  The solid gold Sukhothai-style Buddha image was originally covered in plaster, but its original facade was revealed after movers accidentally dropped it, Pieces of the plaster are still kept on display at the temple. Wat Traimit has a museum on the 3rd floor, where you get to learn about the history of the Golden Buddha.

Description : Wat Saket in Bangkok Old Town is an Ayutthaya-era shrine with a gleaming gold chedi in Bangkok. Also called the Golden Mount, it occupies an 80 metre tal manmade hill that was built during the reign of King Rama III. The temple welcomes worshippers year-round, though it's busiest during its annual temple fair in November, during Loy Krathong. The temple grounds have mature trees and typical Buddist structures such as a main prayer hall, ordination hall and libray.
