SIMILAND ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK

Descriptions : The Similan Islands is an archipelago in the Andaman Sea off the coast of, and part of Phang Nga Province. It was established as Mu Koh Similan National Park in 1982 after a one-year assessment by the forestry department. Islands is easiest from Tab Lamu Port, just south of Khao Lak in Phang Nga Province. The park headquarters is in Tab Lamu, which is a small fishing village, just 13 km from Bang La On in Khao Lak. Boats depart daily from the middle of October to the middle of May. The trip takes about three hours each way on slower boats or 70 minutes via speedboat.

KHAO PHING KAN (JAMES BOND ISLAND)

Place : Khao Phing Kan (James Bond Island)

Location : Phang Nga Bay northeast of Phuket.

Descriptions : Khao Ping Khan, also known as James Bond Island. Once the location for "The Man With The Golden Gun", the island jutting out of the surrounding emerald-green water is a great place to take some snaps as you remember some of James Bond’s best moments. The trip begins with an early morning hotel pick-up and takes you to Ao Po Pier from where you hop on a speedboat and head to the picturesque Phang Nga Bay.

SIMILAN ISLANDS

Descriptions : Established as a national park in 1982, Similan Islands are an archipelago of 11 islands in the Andaman Sea, 70 km off the coast in Phang Nga Province. The park covers an area of 140 km² of which 26 km² is land. With a rich marine life consisting of hard and soft coral reefs, crystal clear waters and white beaches, Similan Islands are considered to be one of the best diving sites in the world.

SURIN ISLANDS

Place : Surin Islands

Descriptions : The Surin Islands are 5 dreamlike islands, about 100 km north of Khao Lak. They are not as well-known as the Similan Islands, but in no way inferior. Known for its colourful coral reefs and its living underwater world it fascinates many divers and even while snorkelling one will be amazed by the natural beauty of the underwater world.

SAMET NANGSHE VIEWPOINT

Descriptions : Samet Nangshe is a superb panoramic viewpoint offers stunning 180-degree views overlooking Phang Nga Bay and its hundreds of fantastic, limestone formations and small islands. Visitors reach the Viewpoint after a 10 - 20 minute climb up a dirt path.

KHAO PHING KAN (JAMES BON ISLAND)

Descriptions : A starring role in the 1974 James Bond movie “The Man With the Golden Gun” put the towering limestone islands of Koh Khao Phing Kan and the 66-foot-tall (20-meter) is let Koh Tapu firmly on Thailand’s tourist trail. While boats are forbidden from getting too close to the islands, opportunities for sightseeing abound in the surrounding area.

KOH PANYEE VILLAGE

Description : Koh Panyi (Koh Panyee) is a surprising village almost entirely built on stilts in Phang Nga Bay near the famous James Bond Island. Koh Panyi is a very unusual and exciting site to discover, but it can be hectic, especially at lunchtime because of the many seafood restaurants welcoming all the visitors.
